Buying art from Denman Studios, and arranging to see the show in person
Home | Back to Catalogue
If you are interested in purchasing a painting from Denman Studios, please call, fax, or e-mail. If you are leaving a message, be certain to leave your name, contact information, the state from which you are calling, and the best time to reach you. Remember that Denman Studios is a home as well as a place of business, so please limit your phone calls to 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. PST. Of course you are welcome to e-mail or fax at any time.

The show is no longer available for public viewing, but remaining available artwork can still be viewed in person on an appointment basis. Denman Studios is located at 20 Parkway Court, Orinda, CA. Any interested party, whether serious collector, art lover, or friend, should feel free to call or e-mail to arrange a private viewing, but please do not come by unannounced as there may not be anyone available to open the studio.

Some of the remaining pieces are currently on display at Trailside Galleries in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Anyone interested in one of these pieces should contact the gallery directly at (307) 733-3186 or visit the galleries website at www.trailsidegalleries.com

Payment Methods: If you decide to purchase a painting, Denman studios will take a deposit in the form of a check, cashier’s check, or money order drawn upon a US bank only. We are currently unable to accept credit cards. As the show is no longer on public display, most pieces are available for immediate shipment. Layaways are available upon request.
Taxes: All purchases are subject to California State and Local Sales Taxes where applicable.
Shipping: Denman Studios ships via Federal Express. The buyer agrees to pay all actual crating, packing, and shipping costs at the time of the sale. A separate invoice for shipping charges will be sent after the shipment and may differ slightly from shipping price quotes. All invoices are payable upon receipt.
Approval: All sight unseen purchases are subject to buyer approval upon request. If the buyer is unhappy with the artwork upon receipt of shipment, the buyer must contact the artist within 48 hours to arrange return shipment. Artwork must be returned in the same condition it was received, by the same means, and in the same packaging in which it arrived (unless packaging has been damaged, in which case the artist must be notified prior to shipment). The buyer is responsible for all packing, crating, and shipping charges to and from.
In the Event of Damage: In the unlikely event that a painting is damaged during shipment, the buyer must notify the artist immediately. Buyers will not be made liable for damages incurred during shipping.
The Painting I Want is Already Sold: If you are in love with a painting but it has already sold, please contact me anyway. The "Sold" sign may only mean that a buyer has put a deposit on a painting. It's very rare, but checks can bounce or a buyer can simply change his mind. If that happens, the piece will be sold to the next interested party on my list, and that means I need to know your name, contact information, and the piece you want to buy. Additionally, while I am never willing to create an identical painting, it may be possible for you to commission a similar work, perhaps one even more specific to your particular tastes. I also keep a running list of "first rights of refusal," which I can offer to a client or potential client on the basis of subject, style, color palette, or whatever it was about the piece in question that drew your interest. If I know what you're looking for, I am happy to contact you the next time I happen to create a piece that fits your criteria. Unlike in the case of a commission, you've made no deposit and have no obligations to the artist; you simply get "first dibs" on new work that suits your tastes. If I can be of help, please call the studio at (925) 258-9342.
